Police: un dispositif d’alerte par SMS expérimenté par des commerçants niçois
Ce sont des commerçants volontaires de la ville de Nice qui se prêtent à l’exercice. Un système d’alerte par SMS, qui viserait à renforcer la sécurité de ces derniers, particulièrement exposés aux braquages des dernières années; comme par exemple le décès d’un homme qui avait braqué une bijouterie en septembre 2013.
Dans un premier temps, uniquement un quartier du centre-ville de la ville serait concerné par cette convention nommée « SMS commerçants ». D’après Marcel Authier, le directeur départemental de la sécurité publique des Alpes-Maritimes, l’idée est simple: la possibilité d’envoyer des informations en temps réel aux commerçants, afin qu’ils sachent comment réagir face à une situation d’urgence.
Reste à savoir si le dispositif se révélera efficace contre les attaques que subissent les commerçants. En effet, « depuis quelques années, les chiffres des braquages de bijouteries sont en forte hausse. Il y a un braquage par jour en France! » estimait en 2013 la présidente déléguée de l’Union de la bijouterie horlogerie Christine Boquet.
